Osteopathy for your Pregnancy, Birth, and BabyOsteopathy can bring out the innate healing ability within all of us. During the entire process of pregnancy, the female body is constantly changing to adapt to the baby's growth and needs. The structural and physiological changes can cause increased discomfort and/or structural dysfunction for moms. These structural changes can affect the process of labor and the newborn's birth experience. Uncorrected structural dysfunctions can potentially affect the outcome of future pregnancies and labor experiences.  Birth is a beautiful process, but it can also be a traumatic experience for you and your baby. Studies of newborns done by Viola Frymann, D.O. showed that 80% of newborns experience some form of birth trauma that later affect the babies' early years of development. Osteopathic Medicine helps prevent the possible developmental delays and immune system suppression that can occur from traumas from birth or during the early years of babies.  There will be a hands-on demonstration of techniques that Doulas, Daddys- to- be, and anyone interested can use to provide more comfort for pregnant moms before and during labor.  Please dress comfortably so you can participate and practice these techniques on one another while I am present to provide support for your learning experience.  Please visit my website for more information or if you have further questions:  www.juliemaido.com
